I have been a public servant for over 20 years and have a dream to bring my spiritual wisdom into my work and into my community , one circle at a time. Born in New York, of Italian American descent, I was raised Catholic and have a relative that is in the process of beatification for sainthood that died when she was only 13 years old. I have always felt close to her and guided somehow to cherish my faith no matter where it took me To date, and as a result of a long internal journey, my spiritual life embraces many paths. I have studied native american culture and have participated in a long dance, sweat lodges,  drum dance envisioned by Joseph Rael and other rituals and find a powerful connection to Spirit in the Earth and the animals. My belief is that we are living in a dream, in a metaphor, within the Great Being of God, Spirit, the Christ or whatever label we choose for the larger scheme of our purpose.
I have recently traveled to Italy and have visited my great Aunt, Anfrosina Berardi, who lies in state, in a tiny chapel in San Marco Di Preturo, a remote village outside of Aquila.  It is  nestled in the Gran Sasso Mountains. Journeying there was a powerful experience and one that began in  a dream circle that I am a part of in which I am inspired to write about Anfrosina from my unique perspective on spirituality. I welcome anyone to share their stories of how they have been led to their current spiritual life.  I  also hope to connect with those who have received a blessing from Anfrosina through prayer, intercession or who may know of her through their church.

I have inserted a link below to tell, through a video of the beauty of God's bounty, how I have merged the faith of my heritage with the faith within my heart. There are three churches in the video; the first one pictured is the Catholic Church-San Marco Chiesa Cattolica in San Marco Di Preturo, where my great Aunt, Anfrosina Berardi lies in state as a Servant of God and where my Granfather worshipped as a young boy; the second is the Assumption church in Tuckahoe, New York that my paternal grandfather helped to build after emigrating to America and the third church is a church in Sedona Arizona, Santa Maria which integrates for me the integral spirit within the natural world with the faith of my Catholic heritage. The elder pictured at the end of the video is Joseph Rael, Beautiful Painted Arrow, after the commemoration of 20 years of the drum dance that he visioned . I was honored to fast, dance, and pray for peace with almost a hundred dancers. I will be eternally grateful for the experience, and for the insights I have received in my walk with Spirit in our midst.

Mother/Father God of our Being,

as we close our eyes to the world of appearances,

we open to the kingdom of our heart.

It is here, in the womb of Spirit's temple, that we hear your sacred call.

Our newborn eyes are opened to the brilliance that you are-

 a sparkling seed of Truth, awaiting our discovery.

With each Breath taken with You, we are awakened, nourished, stirred and moved.

From the cradle of our heart's knowing, we emerge to the Holy Ground of the Sacred Mother, as Spirit taking Form.

We pray Lord, our beloved Babba, that with the seed of each new day, we remember to take our first breath with You.
For we know that it is from within the embrace of your Grace that we begin, from withinour body temple that we are nourished, and from within the living Spirit of God that we emerge to our True Expression. And So it IS. Amen.
